A revision of the book first published in 2001. Based on years of research by the late Peggy Armstrong and the late Marguerite Wagner on shipping and ship-building in the county. From the introduction: “the book clearly filled a void in the documentation of the area’s rich maritime history.” In 2018, the Annapolis Heritage Society partnered with Peggy to republish the book. This edition includes a new index of individuals and business firms compiled by Anne Crossman.
