Archibald Morrison will, 5 February 1780

Here is a transcription of the will of Archibald Morrison of Granville dated 5 February 1780:
In the name of God Amen, I the Subscriber Archibald Morrison In the Township of Granville and County of Annapolis And Province of Novascotia- Being of Lawful Age & in Perfect memory & Sences but Weke in body with Sickness, but in hopes through the merits of Jesus Christ, my Saviour, to be one of his Partaking of his Kingdom at the Same time Giving this Earthly body to the Earth from Whence it was taken- Do Constitute this my last will & Testament and desire it may be Received by all as Such. As for my burial I Desire it may be Decent, According to the Discretion of my Beloved wife and my Executors hereafter named- As to my Worldly Estate, I Positively order that all my Just Debts be paid first I give to my beloved wife for her lifetime, & Also my son Robert Each ½ , the one half of the Lott on Mr. Shaw’s (--------------------) the bounds made by me last fall Under George’s house on S’d line, making A Reserve at all times that nither of them Can Sell or Exchange out of the Family, Also I give to my beloved wife all the Furniture also one third of the Stock as Also all Debts that’s due me, Likewise I will & give to my Son George one cow, Also all my Right & title that I have, or may from government one thousand Acres of land in the Township of Wilmott, I Also order (----) Rest of my Children viz.Hugh, James, Jno., Robert & Mary may have Each of them an Equal Share of the Remaining Stock Also the other half of the Lott No.24 lying next Mr. Hall’s, Together the Marsh lott Lying next Mr. Shaw’s No.23 on the West Side of the Farm for (----) that it may be Equally Divided Amongst them that’s Mention’d According to the best Judgment of my Executors, as the one To Judge for the best, And that neither one or the other may not Sell or Exchange, Likewise I order that one Hefer Coming in Two year Old at my Decease to my Grandson Archibald Hicks & I desire also that no Person is to Take Part or Right to the S’d Hefer, but that the Child’s Father may put the same out to Any Honest Person In order that the child may have the Enerase when he comes to age, I order also when it may be judged by his (--------) my Exectrix when the Child may come to Marrage for himself Underage & that his Father may Sine A full & Just Acct. of the Enerase of S’d Hefer, or Valuation According to her valuation. I order also that Twenty Shillings may be given to my Daughter Elizabeth Hicks, Also I nominate And Appoint Mr. Moses Shaw & John Morrison Sen’r Gin Hemon Together with my Wife (-----------------------------) Till Such times as my Children comes to age or otherwise till the marrage for themselves as According to the Approbation of their Mother During their Servitude And Also my Executors as the may think most necessary for them to do During their Servitude, as I order that none of them are neither to Sell or buy out of the Family, but one or Two of them may Purchase from the other Wherein I do Constitute these before namedGin Hemen to be my Executor of this my last will & Testament In Witness whereof hereunto Set my hand & Seal the Fifth Day of February in the year of our lord God 1780-
