Adam Shafner will, 22 November 1782

Here is a transcription of the Will of Adam Shafner of Granville dated 22 November 1782:
In the Name God Amen I the subscriber Adam Shafner in the Township of Granville and County of Annapolis and Province of Nova Scotia Being of Lawfull age & in Perfect Memory & Senses But weake in Body With Sickness But In hope through the Merits of Jesus Christ my Saviour To Be won of his Partackers of His kingdom att the same time giving This Earthely body to the Earth from whence it was taken
Do Constitute This My Last Will & Testament and Desire it may Be Received By all as Such: as for my Burial I Desire it may Be Decent Acording to the Discretion of my Beloved wife my Executor;
As To my worldly Estate; I will all that to my Beloved wife Her Life time and after her death; I will it To my son George all of it Except forty Pounds; and twenty Pounds I will To my Daughter Armstrong; & twenty Pounds To my Daughter White which makes the forty Pounds. I also order My son George after his Mother’s Death To Pay to each of these two Daughters Five Pounds a year Til he has Paid them the forty Pounds.
I Do Hearby Constitute and a Pint my True and Beloved Wife to Be my Executor of this My Last Will & testament in witness where of have hear unto Set my Hand and Seal This 22 day of Novemb’r In the year of Our Lord 1782.
