Gingerbread House Competition

The 3rd annual Annapolis Heritage Society Gingerbread House competition is sure to make this holiday season extra sweet! Gingerbread artists of all ages are invited to compete for prize ribbons in several unique categories.

Entry forms must be submitted by 4pm on Friday November 22nd.
Gingerbread creations must be delivered to the O’Dell House Museum for judging by 4pm on Thursday November 28th. Winners will be announced at the O’Dell House Museum on November 29th at 7pm. Entries will be displayed until Sunday December 1st, at which time the People’s Choice Award will be announced.
Prizes:
– Top 3 Creations per Age Category (chosen by judges)
– Best Use of Historic Architecture (chosen by judges)
– Most Unique Decorating Ingredient (chosen by judges)
– Best Use of Colour (chosen by judges)
– People’s Choice (voted by the public)
 
Restrictions: Entries must be placed on a base (such as a plate or plywood board), which can support the weight of the entry. Entries combined with a base must not be larger than 24 inches high, 24 inches wide, and 24 inches long. Everything above the base of your entry must be composed completely of edible materials. The main structure of your entry must be constructed of at least 75% gingerbread. Edible materials are not limited to candies and icings. Be creative!
