Family Workshop Series

Experience the wonderful collections at North Hills Museum and share unforgettable moments with your children as they discover their own creativity in the studio workshops. For budding artists 5-12 years of age accompanied by an adult. Cost per child: $5.00 for each workshop; includes museum visit and all materials. Advanced registration required. 532-2168

“Dripping with Talent” Automatic Painting workshop: Sunday July 8, 2012 • 1:00 – 4:00 pm

One of the most innovative art forms of the 1960s when Mr. Patterson purchased North Hills was ‘automatic painting’. Join us for a fun day of painting an original work of art without even touching the canvas. Wear old clothes!

“Power in Numbers – The Art of Collecting” Sculpture workshop: Sunday July 29, 2012 • 1:00 – 4:00 pm

Discover Mr. Patterson’s various collections. Create a Mixed Media sculpture inspired by the artifacts at North Hills or bring your own collectibles to assemble into a personalized work of art.

“Printmaker II” Print making workshop: Sunday September 23, 2012 • 1:00 – 4:00 pm

Last year we had so much fun making prints that we decided to do it again with a new twist: create a series of prints with more than one colour plate.

2nd Annual North Hills Revisited: Family Workshop Exhibition: September 30th – October 6th at ARTs PLACE in Annapolis Royal

The public is invited to attend a display of art works created by the young participants in the Family Workshop Series at North Hills Museum.

Opening Reception Sunday, September 30th, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm.
