Family Workshop Series

Experience the wonderful collections at North Hills Museum and share unforgettable moments with your children as they discover their own creativity in the studio workshops. For budding artists 5–12 years of age accompanied by an adult.
Cost per child: $5.00 for each workshop; includes museum visit and all materials.

“Out of Your Depth” Tint, Tone, and Shade in Landscape painting:

Discover the many landscape paintings at North Hills. Sketch a view around the museum, then through an examination of tint, tone and shade learn to create depth using colour in your very own painting.
“Climbing the Walls” Wallpaper design workshop:

North Hills Museum has some wonderful Georgian inspired wallpaper. Discover some techniques in creating pattern, then design and print your very own wallpaper.
“Dishy Designs” Painting on dishes in the ‘Chinese Taste’:
Sunday September 22, 2013 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Mr. Patterson had a huge collection of Chinese inspired antique ceramics. Explore the many patterns and meanings behind the various symbols found in these dishes, paint a design in the “Chinese Taste” on a dish.
