George Woster will, 30 April 1801

Here is a transcription of the will of George Woster of Granville dated 30 April 1801:
In the name of God Amen I George Woster of the township of Granville in the County of Annapolis and Province of Nova Scotia Yeoman, being in health of body, and of sound mind, memory and understanding, praised be God for the same, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner following, that is to say, First I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator hopeing for a Pardon of my sins through the merits of Christ Jesus my Saviour, my body I commit to the Earth to be decently buried; and as to that Worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me I dispose thereof as follows, I give and devise all my real estate. Situate lying and being in the township of Granville in the County of Annapolis aforesaid known and distinguished in the division of the said township of Granville by the name of House Lot number twenty eight with the marsh, and all other hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging unto my son George Woster his Heirs and Assigns forever- I give and bequeath to my beloved Wife Mary the use of twenty five pounds of lawful money of Nova Scotia during her natural and after her decease, I give and bequeath the same as follows, that is to say, unto my son Jacob Woster- the sum of twenty pounds, and unto my daughter Molly the wife of James Webber the remaining five pounds- I give and bequeath to my daughter Catherine the sum of twenty pounds of like lawful money, also I give and bequeath to my daughter Christiana the wife of Daniel Purdy the sum of fifteen pounds of like lawful money; also I give and bequeath to my Grandson George John the sum of five pounds of lawful money aforesaid.

All the rest residue and remainder of my personal estate of what nature or kind soever, I give and bequeath to my said beloved Wife Mary her Executors Administrators or Assigns: And I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my said Wife Executrix of this my last Will and Testament; hereby revoking and making void all former wills and Testaments at any time heretofore by me made, and do declare this to be my last Will and testament- In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this thirtieth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and one
