Gingerbread artists of all ages and backgrounds are invited to compete for prize ribbons in several exciting categories. \nCorresponding with the opening of the Victorian Christmas festivities\, the Competition’s panel of judges will announce the winners on November 24th at 7:00pm. DESCRIPTION:The Cronin exhibit\, curated and designed by local historian Ian Lawrence\, on display at the O’Dell House Museum\, Archive and Genealogy Centre will be closing on Aug.12th\, 2022. \nThe exhibit is based on the hundreds of original papers found in the attic of a Cronin house in Port Wade\, which cover the period from the late 1700s to the mid-1800s. Experience this beautiful room\, considered an outstanding example of Pre-Confederation Canadian interior decorative painting\, now housed at the National Gallery of Canada. DESCRIPTION:Annapolis Heritage Society is Bringing the Croscup Painted Parlor to the Sinclair Inn\nThe Sinclair Inn Museum has a new exhibit! The Croscup Painted Parlour travelling exhibit is now upstairs next to the Sinclair Inn’s own Painted Room. The exhibit offers Nova Scotians and visitors to Nova Scotia the opportunity to experience this beautiful room\, considered an outstanding example of Pre-Confederation Canadian interior decorative painting. It was purchased and relocated\, including painted walls\, fireplace\, floor\, doors\, windows and architectural trim\, in 1976 by the National Gallery of Canada. This pop-up exhibit showcases high resolution\, scaled reproductions of the room’s artwork\, which decorated the walls of the Croscup family home in Karsdale in the 1840’s.
